AI Future Progress ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Mythium mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use Mythium.
By using Mythium, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
- Email address — used for account identification and communication.
- Discord ID and username — collected when you sign in via Discord OAuth.
- Apple ID identifier — collected when you sign in via Apple Sign-In.
- Date of birth — used to verify you meet the minimum age requirement (18+).
1.2 Character Information
- Character name
- Backstory and personality description
- Genre tags and speaking style preferences
- AI-generated portrait images
1.3 Usage Data
- Swipe history — records of characters you have liked, passed on, or super-liked.
- Messages — text content sent and received within in-app conversations.
- AI co-pilot interactions — prompts sent to and suggestions received from the AI writing assistant.
- Boundary preferences — your chosen content and interaction boundaries.
- Reports — any reports you submit regarding other users or content.

- Device type and operating system version
- App version
- Crash logs and performance data
- General usage analytics (screens visited, session duration)
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide, operate, and maintain the App and its features.
- Authenticate your identity and manage your account.
- Enable character discovery, matching, and messaging.
- Power the AI co-pilot writing assistant.
- Generate AI portrait images for your character.
- Moderate content for safety and compliance with our content policy.
- Process and respond to user reports.
- Improve the App, fix bugs, and develop new features.
- Communicate with you about your account, updates, or support requests.
- Enforce our Terms of Service and comply with legal obligations.
3. Third-Party Services
We share certain data with third-party service providers solely to deliver App functionality. We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

4. Data Retention
- Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 7).
- Messages may be retained for a reasonable period after account deletion for moderation review and to comply with legal obligations.
- AI-generated images are stored while your account is active and deleted upon account deletion.
- Reports and moderation records may be retained independently of your account to support safety and legal compliance.
- Aggregated, anonymized data may be retained indefinitely for analytics and service improvement.
5. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:
- Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest.
- Row-level security (RLS) policies on all database tables.
- API keys and secrets stored securely in server-side environment variables, never in client code.
- Regular security reviews and updates.
While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Age Restriction
Mythium is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected data from a user under 18, we will promptly delete the account and associated data. 7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion — request that we delete your personal data. Account deletion is available directly within the App.
- Data portability — request a portable copy of your data in a structured format.
- Restriction — request that we limit our processing of your data under certain circumstances.
- Objection — object to our processing of your data for specific purposes.

8. AI-Generated and AI-Assisted Content
Mythium uses artificial intelligence to:
- Generate character portrait images based on text descriptions you provide.
- Assist with in-character writing via the AI co-pilot feature.
AI-assisted content is clearly marked within the App. Text suggestions from the AI co-pilot are presented as drafts that you may accept, modify, or discard before sending. You retain creative control over all content you publish.
9. Cookies and Tracking
Mythium is a native mobile application and does not use browser cookies. We may use standard mobile analytics frameworks to understand App usage patterns. You can limit analytics collection through your device's privacy settings.
10. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country of residence, including in the United States. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your data to these locations. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international transfers.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy within the App and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of Mythium after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
